Ixa Gutierrez (her name is pronounced like “Eeksa” and sounds a bit like “pizza”) has been with the firm off and on since its inception in 2004 having been a real estate paralegal and office manager with various law offices in the area since 1986. (Although she did take a sabbatical for few years to sell beautiful rose bouquets to local business and individuals under the name of the “Travelling Rosarian”) She graduated from Florida Institute of Technology (then located on the Indian River in Jensen Beach) in 1982 where she met her husband of 37 years, John Polley. She has a daughter, Rachael, and a son, Edward, who were both born and raised in Martin County and still live nearby. Ixa’s family is from Miami and she spent some of her childhood in Nicaragua, so she is fluent in Spanish. She loves to travel, especially to France, Spain, and Italy, and is currently teaching herself French and Italian.

Aside from traveling, Ixa loves to cook and entertain family and friends at their home in south Stuart. Her green thumb is apparent from the gorgeous garden and back yard oasis she has nurtured for over 30 years. An avid reader and movie aficionado, Ixa is always on the go.

From document preparation through post-closing, Ixa is the machine that keeps everyone on track and informed. Although she could do it in her sleep, she is always attentive to the details and is available to help our clients and referral sources in every way she can. A finer and more caring person you will not find anywhere.
